Remembering Paul R. Danehy and His Enduring Legacy at Currans Flowers

It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we remember Paul R. Danehy, Sr., a beloved member of the Curran’s Flowers family and a guiding presence in our shop since 1974.

Paul purchased Curran’s Flowers on Park Street in Danvers more than 50 years ago, bringing with him creativity, vision, and a true love for the floral industry. Through his dedication to his craft, his customers, and his community, he helped grow Curran’s into one of the most respected floral businesses on the North Shore and throughout Eastern Massachusetts.

Even after stepping back from daily operations, Paul remained part of the rhythm of the shop. He visited often with his cherished Havanese, Monty, sharing a smile, a kind word, or wisdom with the staff and customers who had become like family. His presence was steady, warm, and deeply loved.

Paul also gave generously to the Danvers community through his involvement with local organizations, including the Danvers Kiwanis Club, the Danvers Touchdown Club, and floral industry associations. Outside the shop, he loved the ocean, boating, golf, travel, and time spent with his wife, Anne, his family, and dear friends.

We will remember Paul for his kindness, humor, generosity, and the lasting mark he left on Curran’s Flowers.

Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Paul’s life at Curran’s Flowers, 15 Park St., Danvers, on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. At Paul’s request, “it should be a party,” so colorful or tropical clothing is warmly encouraged.
