Flowers may be the perfect Easter decor - they have more colors than a basket of Easter eggs, are always dressed up in their Sunday best, and they last longer than your favorite Easter candy. Whether for your own home, a centerpiece for your dinner table, a hostess gift, or a floral design to send to a loved one - Easter flowers are a gorgeous choice. And here in Danvers, you have an even fresher alternative - Curran's Flowers is proud to grow hydrangea and Easter lilies in our own greenhouse, ensuring that your flowers couldn't be any more vivid and vibrant.
Hydrangea Fun Fact: Hydrangeas are fascinating in that, unlike most other plants, the color of their flowers can change dramatically based upon the amount of aluminum in the soil. Read More about Freshest Easter Flowers – Locally Grown Hydrangea & Lilies »

Each season of the year brings its own special vibe, and each month of the year gives us something new to celebrate. In April, the official birth flower is one of the most popular flowers in the world - the daisy. Although the English variety is the most recognized, with its classic white ray petals and gold center, there are 23,000 other varieties that grow across the world. In fact, Antarctica is the only continent on which this prolific flower is not found.
You can find many beautiful daisies right here in Danvers simply by browsing the Curran's Flowers website or stopping by our shop to speak with one of our floral designers. Whether for birthday bouquets or any other special occasion, the spring daisy will deliver a cheerful ambiance right to your front door. Read More about April Daisies for Birthday Bouquets »

Pets play an important role in our lives - but as much as many of us cherish our fur babies, not all animals experience the same level of love and acceptance.
National Puppy Day was established on March 23, 2007, and is a grassroots effort to raise awareness about the issues surrounding shelters and the animals who live in them. Over-population, indiscriminate breeding, and overcrowding result in far too many animals being euthanized due to lack of space. Thousands of volunteers and professionals across the country are committed to finding homes for rescue dogs and puppies, but the odds are stacked against them. In the 1800's, Irish immigrants poured into the Boston area looking to escape the terrible famine in their own country. However, St. Patrick's Day had been celebrated by earlier arrivals as far back as the 1730's. To this day, the greater metropolitan area still boasts one of the highest concentrations of people claiming Irish heritage, meaning that this part of the country is really anticipating March 17th and all of its festivities. For years, Curran's Flowers has been providing Danvers with shamrocks, the most iconic plant associated with the holiday, and we invite you to come into our shop and get some for your home or office. What a fun and festive way to celebrate the day!
Did You Know? Many people associate the four-leaf clover with St. Patrick's Day, especially since it seems to correlate with "the luck o' the Irish!" However, it is the three-leafed variety of the clover that St. Patrick used to teach children about the doctrine of the Trinity. Read More about Shamrocks & Green Plants for St. Patrick’s Day »

Floral Design Day was established in 1995 as a way to honor the skill and artistic accomplishments of florists around the country. The idea was inspired by Carl Rittner, who founded the School of Floral Design in Boston, and who is considered to be one of the most prominent visionaries in our industry. Here at Curran's Flowers, we appreciate the legacy that Rittner and others have left and celebrate the talented professionals who continue to bring beauty to the world through their designs. In that spirit, we'd like to introduce you to one of our own design stars. Meet Carole. Read More about Floral Design Day – Meet Carole »
