On March 8, we here at Curran’s Flowers will join thousands of women from over 100 countries across the world in celebrating International Women’s Day, an occasion reserved for honoring the achievements of women. There are many ways to acknowledge the women who have been the most influential in your life—mentors, teachers, guides, role models—and many cultures have their own gifting traditions for this day. In Italy, they exchange yellow mimosa flowers, and in Russia, flower sales are bigger than on Valentine’s Day. It’s no stretch to say that sending the most important women in your life a bouquet on IWD is a global event.

There are some considerations when it comes to what to send. We like a bold, vivid design packed with hardy blooms and greens such as our Marseille arrangement.
